My dog Poppy, 17 months old, miniature poodle, is the new client of this vet, since 1st of July . I chose to pay £30 /month for club membership to benefit from certain facilities.Our bad luck, caused that my Poppy to have gastro-intestinal problems, following a swim in a pond on the beach, a week later after I chose this vet.Several visits, poop test and expensive treatments followed, without a diagnosis( the test show NOTHING-at least the common bacteria tested) and without a solution. More than that, my dissatisfaction consists in the fact that, by calling for an appointment, you can only get an appointment after 1 week because there not being enough doctors to cover the requests. Now, I ask myself: what is the point of paying a monthly membership, if you have to do research,yourself, on the internet for solutions, and, moreover, you can’t get an appointment when your dog needs one?! Maybe they are the number 1 in Dundee area but I started to have serious doubts about that. Maybe, is only my bad luck.So, for the moment, judging from my personal experience , I’m not convinced about this veterinary clinic , actually, I’m disappointed.

Always caring and compassionate, the staff are lovely. I rarely have to visit, thankfully, but when I do, I feel that my pets are in good hands. My only concern is costs and probably every veterinary practice is the same.

The staff are always welcoming and friendly. It's a warm, bright inviting place to bring your unhappy companion. Every vet we have seen has been very good with our pets, calm and professional. All the vets I've met are friendly, approachable and know their stuff. My dog had a heart condition picked up during a routine examination and is now on medication which is obviously making him feel much better - he's back to running around having fun instead of struggling! They may be more expensive than other vets (I'm not so sure they are) but given the level of service, I'd say it was worth it.

After recently getting our puppy we decided to join park side vets,they have been highly recommended from our family and friends. We have being going along to the puppy parties on a Tuesday afternoon at Barnhill. The staff have been a great support with our family as we haven’t had a dog before. The time, support and advice they have given us has been greatly appreciated. The parties have been a great idea as our Louie is very timid and unsure.He was come on along way and is now confident and socialising well with other dogs. We cannot recommended this company enough, our puppy has been well looked after and the care and attention he has been given is fabulous. It’s great to be able to pick up the phone and get advice and feel re assured. All the staff are amazing from the receptionists to the nurses and the vets. It’s gave us great piece of mind knowing that we’re in the right hands with Parkside Vets.

Parkside Vets Barnhill

Located on Dalhousie Road, the main route from Broughty Ferry to Monifieth, the Barnhill surgery sits within a small group of shops. The surgery underwent a significant rebuild in 2014 to allow us to offer a full range of medical, surgical and diagnostic services. Our spacious, air-conditioned building has a free car park at the rear in addition to on-street parking directly out front.

The surgery is open 6 days a week, with evening appointments available. In addition to our dedicated sterile surgical and dental theatres, we have a state-of-the-art diagnostic suite with digital x-ray, high definition ultrasound and on-site laboratory.

Our catchment runs from West Ferry to Monifieth and beyond, with clients also coming to us from Carnoustie and the surrounding area.
