Certificate holder, Stuart Ashworth, has over 10 year's experience and deals with most orthopaedic problems from plating and external fixators to cruciate repairs (TPLO (Slocum)) and lameness/locomotion investigations. Stuart is now a member of the "Advanced Practitioner" Register. Arthroscopy can also be carried out, using minimally invasive techniques and so avoiding major surgery and allowing us to remove debris, curette cartilage and assess joint changes or damage, using a video screen to view.

We can admit patients in the evening for next day surgery or see then in the morning to discuss first with owners. Pets usually go home on the day after surgery.
We have vets with great ultrasound experience who can advise and make use of our ALT HDI 500 ultrasound scanner, which, with ecg and doppler can give us a rare insight into the structure of the heart allowing measurements of muscle and blood flow.
Referrals to us always have a same-day reporting with written report to follow.
You may consider to refer a new murmur in cats, a dog with a new murmur, an arhythmia found in a routine consultion, syncopes or ongoing cardiac monitoring in dogs and cats. Helpful handouts for owners can be found in the "owners" section and you can direct clients there or print them yourselves.
